Faith 93.7
We’re so glad you came to this place.
At Christmas we celebrate the greatest gift of all,
the birth of Jesus our Savior. These Bible verses tell that story:
Luke 2: 10-11 “The angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid. I have some very good news for you—news that will make everyone happy. Today your Savior was born in David’s town. He is the Messiah, the Lord”
Isaiah 9:6 “A child has been born to us; God has given a son to us. He will be responsible for leading the people. His name will be Wonderful Counselor, Powerful God, Father Who Lives Forever, Prince of Peace.”
Matthew 1: 21-23 “Then after her baby is born, name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” So the Lord’s promise came true, just as the prophet had said, “A virgin will have a baby boy, and he will be called Immanuel,” which means “God is with us.”
God loves you and wants to be in a relationship with you. The most well-known verse in the Bible John 3:16 explains that love: “God loved the people of this world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life and never really die.”
Galatians 4:4-5 tells us God wants to be in relationship with us; “But when the right time came, God sent his Son, who was born from a woman and lived under the law. God did this so that he could buy the freedom of those who were under the law. God’s purpose was to make us His children”
Romans 3:23 says “All of us have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory.”
Romans 6:23 says “The payment for sin is death. But God gives us the free gift of life forever in Christ Jesus our Lord“
Accepting Jesus as your Savior is the key to receiving that free gift of life forever in Christ Jesus and coming into relationship with God. That’s explained in John 14:6 where it says “Jesus answered, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. The only way to the Father is through me” Once you accept Jesus as your Savior you come into relationship with God, who becomes your loving Heavenly Father who will give you eternal life, forgiveness for your past sins, and hope, guidance and support the rest of your days.
God has been pursuing you and wants to give you the gift of eternal life, free you from your past and give you a fresh, clean start. In Jeremiah 29:11 it says “I say this because I know what I have planned for you,” says the Lord. “I have good plans for you. I don’t plan to hurt you. I plan to give you hope and a good future” Another verse, 2 Corinthians 5:17 says “Anyone who belongs to Christ is a new person. The past is forgotten, and everything is new”
