Well, you might ask, why are we doing this event? I have two kids who have disabilities, both have Cerebral Palsy. To see my own children not be able to access places because of being in a wheelchair or using a walker is difficult. All aspect of church needs to be available for people of all abilities.
We are having a place to start conversations within churches and bring awareness of accessibility and inclusion in churches. Many individuals in our communities cannot come to church, youth group, events or even to worship as not enough thought and planning is done for inclusion.
We want to start this conversation to allow you to have more knowledge surrounding this specific issue.
This event will be held at Elmira Pentecostal assembly from 2:00pm-4:00pm on September 28.
